Muse are heading back to North America in a major way. One week after announcing their forthcoming tenth studio album, The Wow! Signal, the Grammy-winning trio has confirmed an extensive amphitheater tour across the United States and Canada. The run is promoted by Live Nation and goes under the name "The Wow! Signal Tour."
The tour launches Sunday, July 5 at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in St. Louis, Missouri, and closes out at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Monday, August 31. Between those bookends: more than 30 amphitheater shows across the country, including a stop at Milwaukee's Summerfest on July 2 before the formal tour launch.
The Support
The Temper Trap opens every date on the tour. Bloc Party and Portugal. The Man are confirmed for select shows. That is a deliberately assembled lineup — the Temper Trap offering indie-adjacent rock energy, Bloc Party bringing their own British post-punk credibility, Portugal. The Man adding a more experimental alternative voice. None of it undercuts Muse's headlining position, but it gives the shows a fuller palette than a standard two-band bill.
The Album
The Wow! Signal arrives June 26 via Warner — the band's tenth studio album. The title references one of astronomy's enduring mysteries: a 72-second radio burst detected in 1977 originating from the constellation Sagittarius, its bandwidth and intensity consistent with an extraterrestrial source. The astronomer who discovered it circled the sequence "6EQUJ5" and wrote "WOW!" on the printout — giving the signal its name and its place in scientific and cultural memory.
That conceptual framing is very Muse. The band has never been shy about reaching for large ideas — space, existential dread, political systems, cosmic horror. The Wow! Signal suggests a record operating in that territory again.
Lead single "Be With You" is already out, and it has moved quickly: No. 1 Most Added at Alternative Radio in its debut week, entering the chart at No. 29 and trending toward the Top 20, with three million global streams in the first week. The music video was directed by Nico Paolillo, who has previously worked with Deafheaven and Bad Omens.
