The HU Drop 'The Men' Video + 'Warrior Chant' Double Single

The HU — 'The Men' official music video still, 2026

The HU don't announce. They deliver. Today, the Mongolian heavy metal institution dropped two brand new tracks simultaneously — "The Men," accompanied by a full official music video, and "Warrior Chant," which arrives as a standalone stream. Both are out now via Better Noise Music.

"The Men" — Inner Strength, Outer Weight

Directed by Dashka, the "The Men" video opens with traditional Mongolian strings before the riff drops and makes its intentions clear. It's the kind of groove that works in a war movie, a workout, or a solitary drive at 2AM — which is exactly by design. Vocalist Galaa explained the song's philosophy:

"'The Men' is written based on Mongolian philosophy of 'Man's Inner Spirit' or 'Хийморь' and the importance of inner strength and kindness of a man to the world. Energy of men should always be reinforced with positiveness, strength and generosity, so this song try to encapsulate that ancient wisdom and share to the rest of humanity. Lyrics are chants that guides young and old men alike to be headstrong and to have dream that cultivate goodness."

The track hits the same marks that made The HU's debut run so impactful — indigenous instrumentation locked in with modern heaviness, the throat chanting working like a second rhythm section. What separates this from a lot of their recent work is how rooted it feels. Less cinematic reach, more tradition-first weight.

"Warrior Chant" — The Signature Sound, Refined

If "The Men" reaches for philosophy, "Warrior Chant" is pure kinetics. Galaa again:

"'Warrior Chant' has our signature rhythm that our fans fell in love with and everyone who will listen and know us will say that it is 'our song.' Our third album has bit of everything, rhythm-wise, and we see that as a progress of expanding the Hunnu Rock genre… Enkush and I focused on horse head fiddle solos by imitating the horse gait and you will hear the rhythm throughout the song."

The horse head fiddle solos aren't decoration — they're structural. If you've been following The HU since Gereg, the sound here will feel like a homecoming. The chorus lands hard. It's built to be played loud in a field of 20,000 people, which is fitting given where the band is headed this spring.

What's Next

Both singles are described as previews from The HU's third album, The Hun — though no release date has been confirmed. The band also recently appeared on "Pray to the Sun," featuring Declan De Barra, from the Netflix One Piece series soundtrack — continuing a pattern of crossing into gaming and film without losing their core identity.

Over 961 million streams, UNESCO Artist for Peace recognition, and now two new songs in a single drop. The HU continue to build something genuinely their own. With The Hun still on the horizon, these two tracks serve as a solid indicator of where they're heading.
