Fourteen years in, and Danny Wimmer Presents just made the biggest Aftershock ever. The 2026 edition brings 140+ artists across five stages — including a newly added fifth — to Discovery Park in Sacramento from October 1–4. The headliners are My Chemical Romance, Limp Bizkit, Pierce The Veil, and Tool. But the real story this year is everything underneath that top line.
The Headliners
My Chemical Romance closes Thursday night, and they're not just playing a set — they're celebrating 20 years of The Black Parade. One of the most culturally significant rock albums of the 2000s, performed by the band that made it, at a festival that will be full of people who grew up with it. That's the booking of the weekend.
Limp Bizkit headlines Friday. You know what you're getting. Fred Durst and company are a live draw regardless of what year it is, and Friday's lineup around them runs heavy enough to make the full day worth it.
Pierce The Veil takes Saturday in their Aftershock headlining debut. Vic Fuentes and company have earned it — the Jaws of Life cycle built them back up to a level where this makes complete sense.
Tool closes Sunday. Still the only band where headlining a festival feels like an understatement. No anniversary needed. No special billing. Just Tool.
The Reunions and Anniversaries
This is where the 2026 bill gets interesting. Danny Wimmer loaded this lineup with moments:
- Circa Survive — West Coast reunion show. No performances since 2021.
- Cavalera — Exclusive West Coast performance of Roots in full. First time the album has been performed live in nearly a decade.
- Thursday — Celebrating three milestones simultaneously: 25 years of Full Collapse, 20 years of A City By the Light Divided, 15 years of No Devolución.
- Wu-Tang Clan — Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees, playing as part of their Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber tour.
- Wolfmother — 20th Anniversary Tour.
- Drowning Pool — Sinner 25th Anniversary performance.
- Municipal Waste — 25th Anniversary set.
- From First To Last — Reunion and rare performance.
- Kylesa — Reunion show and first West Coast performance since 2015.
- Oleander — Hometown reunion, no shows since 2018.
- Drop Dead, Gorgeous — Reunion show.
- Ünloco — Reunion show.
- Red — Celebrating 20 years of End of Silence.
- The Union Underground — First California show in 24 years.
- Chad Gray — "30 Years of Madness" solo set pulling from both Mudvayne and Hellyeah catalogs.
That's a lot of one-time-only or rarely-seen performances stacked into a single weekend.
